Commonly pleased with it, even so it generally fails to recognise postcodes all over somerset,so you have to then place in a street name which generally will work. At times has a wobbly, past week it instructed me to switch ideal then quick left, which took me off the highway, all around the again of someone's dwelling and back again on the street once more.
It is really ok but does not often pick the most direct routeit also will not usually reply to a postcode.

Rac 300 Sat Nav European Maps /Not Terrible For the Price. Purchased this sat nav for my modern trip in europe as it experienced the maps currently loaded. I would say, even though it is not excellent, it is a really realistic small gadget. Perhaps it takes some time to get the plan,how the directions and attributes function. (in 500 m retain still left. . Now preserve still left/or just take the exit in some cases implies only to modify lanes and not to exit the motorway completely). It has got numerous extra useful capabilities(like most) getting points of interest etc and many others. Returning to amsterdam airport for instance i experienced to refuel and it did come across the petrol station in two minutes. I bought mine for 40 quid new quite lately but the selling price now appears to be considerably larger,i don`t know why this is or if i`m lacking something. It has only one particular rather boring woman voice in lots of languages though. There could be improved sat navs close to but i`d say four out of five details. To enable many others: the one evaluation below that explained 'doesn't do uk postcodes' is incorrect (and certainly the rationale why this merchandise acquired no far more purchases, and possibly the purpose why the seller gives it that cheap). In small: this satnav is by far the greatest i have acquired (and i have acquired numerous more than the yrs). Just a several points - which reflect that i use it on my motorbike:- incredibly crystal clear and bright screen- excellent sizing and light-weight (great in scenario it falls down)- touch screen- even an integrated stylus at the major- quick gps positioning- fast re-routing- the mounting unit can effortlessly be taken apart to securely take care of it on your ram mount as a substitute- route planning and modifying (very valuable, enter by way of-details)- i-pad like wonderful- full british isles postcodes- european maps way too- even pedestrian attribute- and the listing would go on. (need to copy & paste it, amazon doesn't format links)the only slight drawback i've noticed so far: with my prior satnav i sometimes wanted "economical" routing, instead of "shortest" or "quickest". However, it does "pedestrian", and "lorry shortest" and "lorry quickest" as well.

Driving in europe without a satnav can put a strain on a relationship.
Although this thing sometimes sends you the wrong way, at least you and your partner can unite against the satnav rather than falling out with each other about map reading skills. I bought it to replace an expensive sat nav that went wrong and so far the rac unit has performed better. We bought this sat nav as we were going to europe on holiday and renting a car, so wanted the europe maps. I have tried a number of sat navs that are too dim and/or small, but this one is really bright and clear which i need because i use it on a motorbike and in a car. This item was bought because my tom tom froze and would cost more to repair, this item was purchased and was a great buy. It's ok but does not always select the most direct routeit also will not always respond to a postcode.

Rac Sat Nav. We bought this sat nav as we were going to europe on holiday and renting a car, so wanted the europe maps. The device is ok but when you put the post code or address in, it then produces a long list of possible destinations you may want. This can be confusing and lead to selection of the incorrect detination. It isn't bad value but i know there are more user friendly devices available. .
